Policies & FAQ

Refunds, Returns, or Cancellations

At this time, returns and refunds are not accepted. Please be sure you want an item before purchasing. If you would like more information than what is in a listing, please feel free to contact me at mountain.harvest.pottery@gmail.com

Order cancellations must be requested before an order dispatches. Often orders ship less than 24 hours after they’re received, so please do reach out as soon as possible to request a cancellation.

If your pottery is damaged in shipping, please inform me within 24 hours of receiving your package. To receive a refund (shipping not included) for broken pottery, please email me with the following information:

  • Order number
  • Photograph of the breakage

If an item is accepted for a return, the buyer may have to cover return shipping costs for unbroken pottery.

Please read item descriptions, and view all images prior to checkout.

  • Any flaws that affect the aesthetics or functionality of the piece will be written in the listing. It is the responsibility of the customer to read these item descriptions thouroughly before purchasing.
  • Colors of pottery may appear different based on the lighting of your device’s screen, and the lighting under which the pottery was photographed. (I usually photograph using natural lighting, either outside or by a window using indirect lighting.)
  • No replacements will be provided in the event of human error, or accidents incurred while in use.
  • All pottery on my website is hand made. It is either thrown on the wheel or in the occasional slip cast mold (pumpkins). Because these items were made by hand, there may be small variation between pieces, or small signs they were made by a person instead of a machine.

FAQ

Is the pottery dishwasher safe?

Yes, for the most part. Like with any pottery, excessive dishwasher use can lead to the dulling of the glaze over time. There is always a risk involved when heating and cooling clay quickly as this may result in fractures of the clay body. Handwashing is always preferred but customers have been using my pottery for years and no one has mentioned issues with dishwashing.

Is the pottery microwave safe?

Microwave at your own risk. Super heating and cooling of clay over time can cause breakage. For most of my pottery, I usually use Laguna Bmix which is very durable in high and low temperatures.

How often do you have sales?

I try to have drop sales every few months and recommend that anyone wanting to stay informed about my upcoming sales follow my socials.

I will also make my mugs available for viewing a day or two before the sale so that you can view products.
